Pictures of family
Brothers and Sisters
The following is a picture of my mother's brother and sisters when we had a family reunion in 1984. It was quite a reunion.
L to R seated: Mom, aunt Evelyn and Lorene
Standing behind is uncle Donald. Not present are Gary (decsd) and Lorne.
A girls fun day at Magic Mountain

Mom and Dad
Pictures of Mom and Dad and family
These are pictures of mom and dad in different periods of their lives. Some are in black and white, very early in their lives. ( make sure to scroll all the way down)
This first image is mom and dad's wedding portrait taken when they were married September 5, 1947. Dad was 26 years old and mom was 22 years old.
This photo is a photo of our family in 1957. I was 7 years old and Patty was 2 years old. A very lovely family.
This is mom and dad around 1985 when they first moved up to northern California.
A more comtemporary and relaxed image of mom and dad, around the same time

The Viewing
Images of mom at peace in her eternal resting place
We dressed mom in her typical clothes as that was the way we wanted to remember her. We thought about a fancy dress... but everyone remembers mom in her slacks, nice white patterned shirt and a sweater (she was perpetually cold in No. CA).
Of course, mom had to have her glasses on... She looked so natural and peaceful, just like she was taking a nap. The funeral parlor did such a wonderful job to make her look natural and the way we will always remember her.

Final resting place
This is a view of the casket being brought to the crypt by the family. The Asian man in the front is the funeral director who was very patient and supportive.
The crypt is located at the Los Gatos Memorial Cemetery and is very beautiful. The crypt overlooks the grounds in a northern direction. It is at a convenient height to visit and add flowers. The cemetery director promised that a chair will be available for dad when he visits. The crypt is meant for two as dad will be buried here when he passes to the next world.
The Burial
Images of mom's burial and private viewing
Mom and Dad both requested a quiet and very private burial, no funeral with only the most immediate family members attending.
Front row, left to right: Mark (son), Patty (daughter), Sam (husband)Back row, L to R: Cassie Cook (mark), Chelsea Cook(mark), Megan Chew(patty), Sam Chew(patty)
We set up a little table with some flowers and pictures to commemorate mother's life

We bought mom a white casket as it was quite beautiful for a beautiful soul.
